Known as the "Cadillac" of blooming plants, Indica Azalea have a long history. Originally native to China and Japan, these plants made their way to Europe and Belgium in the 1850's. Here they were hybridized resulting in hundreds of new varieties with spectacular blooms. Flowers should easily last 3-4 weeks with removal of spent blooms. Never let them dry out, keep medium moisture.
- Plants should last indefinitely, but are not able to stand temperatures below freezing.
- Use a pure peat growing medium and fertilize sparingly using liquid or organic evergreen fertilizer.
- Grow outdoors after danger of frost is over.
- Prune for shaping and pinch each shoot by June 10th.
