Position Summary

Responsibilities for the Payroll assistant include: Assisting with the weekly payroll processing of 12 locations. Maintaining the employee maintenance within our payroll system and personnel files with regards to address and W4 changes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Process all HR/Payroll employee maintenance (New hires, terms, Changes etc…)
Handle all HR/Payroll Filing – employee records, payroll reports, HR Reports, etc…
Review employee time & attendance daily in Novatime 4000
Various HR/Payroll projects (audits, reports etc…)
Communications with employees with regards to individual needs.
Assist staff accountant with bank reconciliations.
Prepare weekly reports for Payroll/HR Manager to review.
Reply to employment verifications in a timely manner.

Knowledge / Skills Required

1-2 years payroll/HR experience
Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality of employee information.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, with proficiency in Excel required
Must be able to multi-task
Written and Verbal communications skills
