Tulip

Tulips originated in a broad area from the Mediterranean to China. They were introuced in The Netherlands in the late 1500s. For the past 400 years, they have been extensively hybridized. Thus, all of the Tulips sold as potted plants are hybrid cultivars.

Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Temperature - Plants are very responsive to interior temperature, with lifespan increasing by 7 days when plants are displayed at 65°F (18°C) compared to 80°F (27°C). Location - Place plants in or near windows. Moving plants to a room providing 50° to 55°F (10° to 13°C) at night may extend plant ' s life. Irrigation - Keep medium moist at all times. Grooming - Remove faded flowers. Light - Keep interior light level at 50 to 100 fc (1.1 klux) or higher.
