Logistics

From the very beginning, logistics has played a vital role at Kurt Weiss.  We acknowledge all the men and women who transport our product as key colleagues and associates and are grateful for their diligence, care and professionalism.

Throughout the year, Kurt Weiss utilizes a three-tiered system for deliveries – employee drivers, independent drivers and, during peak times, transportation brokers.  While employee drivers are limited to the metropolitan regions surrounding their home location, independent drivers are utilized for broader geographic scope.  Brokered trucks are added to the delivery matrix primarily during holiday times and when one-way long-distance deliveries are necessary.

Please use the link below to download a CARRIER PROFILE. This profile is for both independent truckers and brokers.  Please fill it out and return it via email to Trucks@KurtWeiss.com (you may also submit any marketing material or other company information).

We will check your references and safety record.  If we are a match, we will send you our Carrier Package which includes our logistics agreement and our indemnification, Hold Harmless and Insurance Agreement.  In return, we will ask for a W-9 and a copy of your USDOT Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration Certificate of Authority.

Should we pursue a professional relationship, you would be required to submit insurance coverage for both automobile liability and cargo liability in our prescribed amounts.  In addition, each independent and broker who transports & delivers for KWG is required to maintain a current Workers' Compensation Insurance policy in their name. This policy must be registered with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and be available for verification on their website.

Thank you for inquiring about the logistics program at Kurt Weiss Greenhouses.  We look forward to receiving your Carrier Profile.
